Fleet steers to success

Double honours for Royal Mail Fleet at the 2019 Commercial Fleet Awards

Royal Mail Fleet has won the Eco Innovator of the Year award at the 2019 Commercial Fleet Awards.

The awards, which recognise and celebrate the contributions of outstanding individuals, companies and manufacturers within the commercial fleet industry, were held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

The solid reputation of Royal Mail Fleet continues to stand firm. As well as the Eco Innovator of the Year award, we also received a Highly Commended in the Private Sector Fleet of the Year category.

No stranger to the winner’s podium, Royal Mail Fleet has over several years received numerous awards – ranging from recognition for service, through maintenance and repair, to innovation and even operations.

These latest awards are powerful testimony to the strength of the Fleet team, simultaneously recognising everyone’s hard work and commitment to delivering the highest quality of service on the road while being ever-mindful of the environment and the importance of sustainable practices. The awards also evidence the solid position the business holds as an exceptional fleet operator and manager.

Earlier this year, Royal Mail won the Sustainable Fleet Award at the 2019 Brake Fleet Safety Awards. As well as being shortlisted for three awards in the safety category; ‘Sustainable Fleet’, ‘Company Safe Driver – Large Fleet’ and ‘Road Risk Manager of the Year,’ Royal Mail was also highly commended in the ‘Company Driver Safety - Large Fleet’.

Moreover, three colleagues were honoured in the 2019 Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards, which champion women in the transport and logistics sector and recognise industry role models. Caitlin Slade was named Apprentice of the Year; Kimberley McIntosh received the Freight – Leader Award and Riki Rivat was a finalist in the Freight - Above and Beyond Award category.
