Royal Mail has been delivering Christmas for 500 years. We are synonymous with Christmas for so many people and businesses across the nation, it is the time when our customers rely on us most.
Being such a central part of everyone’s Christmas gives us a golden opportunity – more so this time than any other – to show everyone that we are still the carrier of choice. We know more than anyone else that every single gift, card and letter is important. But we also know we need to improve our quality of service to ensure they are delivered on time.
That is why we are pulling out all the stops for this peak and we are asking you to join us in our We Are Christmas peak campaign. This is a six-week period of delivering excellent quality of service, hard work and I hope also some fun. We've got your covered with any wellbeing support you may need during this period. If we pull together we can deliver a brilliant Christmas for our customers. We know we have stretching targets, but if it was easy, everyone would do it.
We not only deliver Christmas, we are Christmas.
Supporting our local communities this Christmas
Quite unlike most other businesses, we have a presence in every community across the UK. At Christmas we know many of you help out in your local communities.

Your wellbeing this Christmas
We’re committed to delivering more wellbeing support for your family. Your Wellbeing is there for you when you need it including free and confidential support for your physical health, mental wellbeing, lifestyle management and guidance on how to look after your money.
Through Your Wellbeing you can also access Help@hand, which includes virtual GP 24/7, physiotherapy, unlimited mental health consultations, lifestyle coaching, nutrition support and personal training. Taking a little time now to get registered means you don't have to worry about it later when you may need the services urgently.
Speak to someone in confidence
If you need to speak to someone, you can call the Wellbeing Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) 24/7 on 0345 266 5060 or access support through Help@hand. Whether it’s in the moment support or for someone more complex, EAP is there for you – and it’s completely confidential and independent.
The Wellbeing Hub is your one stop shop for everything wellbeing and can be accessed through the People App, using the 'Your Wellbeing' tile. You'll also find information on your local wellbeing noticeboard or speak to your local Wellbeing Ambassador, who will help signpost you to the right resources.
If you notice that someone seems to have low mood this Christmas, ask them how they are and give them an opportunity to talk if they want to. Our Moments that matter - supporting a colleague when you're worried about them guide is there to help you support someone you’re concerned about.
