Payroll Giving
Our Payroll Giving scheme, which holds the Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award, is one of the largest in the UK. We have given more than £62 million to around 2,400 charities through our payroll since 1989.
The biggest beneficiaries include County Air Ambulance, Action for Children, Barnardo’s, Cancer Research UK, Hospice UK and our own charity, the Rowland Hill Benevolent Fund.
About two thirds of us give to charitable causes on a regular basis. However, we don't always do this in the most tax effective way. Payroll giving is a simple tax effective way to give to causes you care about through your pay.
During 2018-2019, over 32,000 of our people gave £2.4 million for 831 national and local charities through Payroll Giving. These included:
- County Air Ambulance
- Action for Children
- Barnardo’s
- Cancer research UK
- Hospice UK
If you pledge to support our Charity Partner, Action for Children, through payroll giving we will match the money you donate.
