Learn CPR with RevivR
What would you do if somebody’s heart stopped?
We’re asking all Royal Mail and Parcelforce colleagues to learn lifesaving CPR with the British Heart Foundation’s new RevivR tool. We have a big ambition to train 100,000 colleagues to learn these lifesaving skills.
A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time – at home, work, or out in public.
- There are over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year in the UK and tragically, less than one in ten people survive.
- Every minute without CPR and defibrillation can reduce the chances of survival by up to 10 per cent.
- But the effective use of CPR and a defibrillator can more than double the chances of survival in some cases.
BHF want to build a nation of lifesavers and by learning CPR and we can help them achieve that. RevivR will teach you how to recognise a cardiac arrest, give you live feedback as you practise chest compressions and show you how to use a defibrillator.
Training rollout
We’re rolling out RevivR to everyone gradually:
· If you’re in Operations, a WTLL is now available to get your teams trained. Find out more here.
· If you’re in Central and Commercial functions, you can get trained now. Find out more here.
Stay tuned for more information on when RevivR is coming to you and for any questions, get in touch with the BHF team at britishheartfoundation@royalmail.com
