Heart Helpline
Today, our national charity partner, British Heart Foundation has announced that thanks to your fundraising, its vital Heart Helpline is now free to call for the first time since the service was made available over 20 years ago.
Switching to a freephone number means the public will no longer be charged for seeking support from an experienced cardiac nurse.
The Helpline receives 1,600 callers a month, 19,200 a year who will no longer be charged.
We are so proud of this first milestone in our partnership with BHF. This has only been made possible thanks to your amazing fundraising efforts since the start of our partnership in February – thank you!

The Heart Helpline is a confidential service here for anyone who is affected by heart disease, whether you need help for you or a loved one You can call Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays) to speak to an experienced cardiac nurse for information and support. The Great Big Fundraising Challenge continues!
So far, we’ve raised £23,000 since the start of The Great Big Fundraising Challenge in July. We’re aiming to reach £250,000 with just under six weeks to go. This will help BHF to do so much more to protect heart health and save lives in our communities.
