Stamps surcharging

Today, the six-month grace period from the initial 31 January deadline ends for non-barcoded Definitive stamps.
This means, from Monday 7 August, we will start to surcharge non-barcoded Definitive stamps.
In this film, managing director of stamps and collectibles Matthew Parkes, explains what this means for colleagues and why we're doing this.
In summary:
Surcharging starts on 7 August
From then, non-barcoded stamps - other than Special Stamps or Christmas stamps - are no longer postally valid
Units do not need to apply surcharges to letters carrying non-barcoded stamps, unless marked by revenue protection
Barcoded stamps will help combat fraud and protect our revenue.
