Fun Family Competition

To celebrate the tournament at Royal Mail we’re running an design competition internally. To keep the Royal Mail theme, entrants are invited to design an imaginary stamp.
It is a great opportunity to get creative and have some family fun. The winning designs will not be made into stamps but there are some great prizes available.
Each region has its own judging panel, find out which region you are part of here. There will be two winners per region (one in each age group) chosen by local teams. Regional winners will be entered into a national vote on Workplace for all colleagues to vote on the overall winner.
The idea for this competition came from work area managers, Luke Earnshaw and Lee Hopkin, at Sheffield Mail Centre.
Lee shared with us how the idea came about and why he thinks everyone should get their families involved.
‘The idea came from when I visited my daughter’s primary school to talk about careers at Royal Mail, and the journey of a letter and parcel.
At the end of the session, I asked the children to design a stamp relating to Royal Mail, Lenny the Letter or Penny the Parcel, the children posted their designs back to me at the Mail Centre. We had some fantastic entries which are now displayed in the plant and the winner received a small prize.
I thought we could use a similar idea. This could be a fun and engaging internal competition with some prizes’ said Lee.
