Winning praise
Swindon postman Paul Gibbons has been hailed a lifesaver by a customer he continues to help through Covid-19.
Robin Page suffers with terminal cancer and has spent weeks in self-isolation. Kind-hearted Paul came to his rescue, taking him shopping and vital medical supplies.
As a result, Robin wrote to Robert Buckland MP to share his gratitude, leading to Paul being recognised as a community champion.
Press play to hear what Paul had to say about helping his customer and friend.
‘I love my job,’ said Paul. ‘I love everything that Royal Mail gives me…If I can’t help somebody else out, then I wouldn’t be the person I would like to be.’
Look out for the forthcoming feature on Paul in our Who We Are colleague recognition campaign.
