Among the most challenging aspects of the pandemic has been the impact of positive tests on our people.

The safety of colleagues is our number one priority. But as the past few months have demonstrated, none of us are immune to the ongoing pandemic.

On Sunday 21 June, three managers at Barnsley Delivery Office tested positive for Covid-19. Within just a short space of time, 19 members of the team had contracted the virus.

‘We missed out on our summer holidays, which was obviously very disappointing,’ said postman Keith Turner. ‘I passed it onto my wife and then our kids got it. We were out of action for a full month.’

Stopping the spread

As we are seeing a rapid increase in cases of Covid-19 in the UK, it is important to be reminded of the key preventative public health guidance and temporary operational measures in place.
