Heffer let me go

Eat drink and three merry – this festive trio are coming your way on behalf of Action for Children

Last December, an elf named Santa’s Little Heffer was lost across the South, but somehow managed to find his way back to service delivery leader, John Heffer’s house in time for Christmas.

Along his journey, an incredible £5,500 was raised for our charity partner, Action for Children.

Now Santa’s Little Heffer has set off on his Christmas journey once again, but this time, he’s bringing his friends, Tinsel Turvey and John O’Sleigh!

Between now and the big day, the twinkling trio will visit each of our 36 mail centres across the UK, before returning to their homes in time for Christmas.

Every day, they will be posted and scanned to a new destination by the receiving mail centre. The box they’re travelling in has a unique Tracked 24 barcode, which will need to be scanned on the right mode on the right shift. Each project implementation manager (PIM) will be responsible for the process being followed.

Action for Children have also asked that each plant gets involved with some fundraising when Little Heffer and his friends arrive at your mail centre along with a photo of them exploring your great town or city!

All fundraising will be donated to Action for Children’s internationally acclaimed blues busting course for teenagers, the Blues Programme; delivering better youth mental health across the UK.

Keep an eye out for more information on when Little Heffer, Tinsel Turvey and John O’Sleigh will be popping in at your mail centre! Thank you for supporting their journey and Action for Children this Christmas!

For further information, please email ‘John O’Sleigh’ at john.oshea@royalmail.com.
