Santa’s little Heffer

To inject a bit of fun into this year’s peak period, Access & Process business partner, John O’Shea from the Quality team, set up a competition between the South plants on Tracked performance.
John sent out an elf, known as ‘Santa’s little Heffer’ after the lead project implementation manager for the South, John Heffer, who was involved in the challenge with the help of his wife in decorating the box it has been travelling in.
When ‘Little Heff’ arrived in plants, colleagues held a bucket collection in aid of our charity partner, Action for Children.
Santa’s Little Heff was first seen at Medway mail centre on 3 December and has been making its way around the 12 remaining plants before returning safely to Medway for the last Tracked 24 posting, today, 21 December.
Each day he was posted and scanned to a new destination by the receiving mail centre and the only rules were that he couldn’t return to Medway until the last mail centre had been visited and he couldn’t go anywhere he had been before.
The box had a unique Tracked 24 barcode which had to be scanned on the right mode on the right shift.
