Awil Sudi, a postman at South Midlands distribution centre in Northampton, recently ordered an Apple iPhone X. He is paid weekly and contributes £16 through a pre-tax salary reduction scheme every week to pay off his purchase.

‘It’s such a good phone and worth the money. So far, so good,’ he said.

Once Awil set up his password online, he was able to view the product range, order his kit and spread the cost. Payments are spread over 24 months.

‘It’s a good deal. What also makes it worthwhile is that it has insurance cover included,’ he added.
