Innovation update

How we’re innovating as part of our strategy to grow in parcels

We’re innovating to grow the business.

Remaining competitive is vital for the future of Royal Mail - standing still in a rapidly changing market is not an option.

To ensure we offer the services our customers want, we are rolling out a number of innovative new products and services over the coming months.

Earlier this month, we told you about the following products:

• Delivery to neighbour enhancements to our Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 services
• Parcel acceptance at all Customer Service Points
• Electronic Something For You notifications.

There are even more improvements on their way, and this week we are bringing you a different story about a new or enhanced Royal Mail service every day.

The stories will show how we are growing our parcels business. They will also help you to understand our strategy, and to see what the changes will mean for you and the company.

Nick Landon, chief customer officer, said: ‘Innovation is something that is stamped into the DNA of Royal Mail having brought so many game-changing developments to the market over the years.

‘Today we continue to transform our business by embracing digital technology. This will help us to boost ecommerce in the UK while giving the receiving customer an even better shopping experience.’
