Royal Mail is proud of the role we play in UK society. We make commerce happen by connecting customers, companies and communities.

Quite unlike most other businesses, we have a presence in every community across the UK. We are passionate about using our national reach to support the communities where we live and work.

We encourage our people to play an active role in their communities through fundraising and volunteering.

Whether you raise funds for our national charity partner, donate through payroll giving or give your time to volunteer for a good cause, we want to support you in helping others.

Our Community Investment strategy focusses on:

Leverage our national scale.

Our national charity partner programme focusses our national scale around a singular cause chosen by our people, to which we can make a measurable difference. We are due to launch a new national charity partner in 2022.

Use our local presence.

Our Missing People partnership uses our presence in communities to help find vulnerable, at-risk people of all ages. Our Community Support scheme and payroll giving schemes support the causes our people feel passionate about.

Unlock potential through education.

Our classroom resources developed with the Postal Museum can be found here. Our partnership with The Prince’s Trust enables the Trust to support young people with mental health problems.

You can find out more about our Community Investment strategy and our other responsibility activities by reading our latest Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) report here. For reference this used to be called our Corporate Responsibility report.
