BHF Volunteering
Volunteering for BHF
Volunteering is a great way to share or learn new skills, meet amazing people, and improve your mental and physical wellbeing. From giving your time to support in one of their shops, joining their Action Team to support major fundraising events like London to Brighton bike ride or signing up to volunteer in your area at local events - there are lots of ways you can support our national charity partner in your own time.

Micro-volunteering opportunities
Only have a few hours to spare here and there? Need your volunteering to fit in around your busy week? Read here how BHF would still love your help and sign up to give it a try here
A quick and easy way to micro-volunteer from home is plan a declutter and donate your pre-loved homeware or clothing goods to your local BHF store – your efforts will help BHF to raise more lifesaving funds.
Volunteering as a team
Team building style volunteering opportunities are limited at BHF, but we warmly welcome larger groups volunteering at our flagship challenge events, get in touch if this is of interest.
If you are planning a team building day, could you take on a fun challenge that has a fundraising element (think a bake-off day or team physical activity with donations to participate)? BHF's team would love to know if you do and, with enough notice, could come along to support your day to bring some BHF magic. Here's what a team morning could look like:
- 45mins: Group RevivR - volunteer to lead a session to help us reach our target of training 100,000 Royal Mail colleagues to create a nation of lifesavers – for all your resources click here.
- 45mins: Wellbeing walk – plan a walk and talk for your team meeting or get a group together and talk about heart health using BHF’s walking & heart health page as inspiration. BHF know that small changes can make a lifesaving difference
- 45mins: Fundraising challenge - get the donations and fun flowing by organising a healthy bake sale for the team or by hosting a fruity themed breakfast. Couple this with a skipping competition or keepy-uppy challenge and there is something for everyone and lots of ways to raise funds. For more ideas click here.
