Update on CWU pay talks

Over the last three weeks Royal Mail and the CWU have been engaged in talks on pay and other topics set out in the agreement with EP Group.

Those talks have been constructive, and progress has been made. Both parties have recognised though that further time is needed to reach full agreement. Negotiations will therefore continue over the next two weeks with the joint aim of reaching agreement before Friday 30 May 2025.

We are committed to delivering a fair and equitable pay agreement that ensures we can maintain the best terms and conditions in the industry. We do, however, need the pay deal to be affordable, after two years of significant losses and with our costs continuing to rise.
