Today we announce our next round of winners from the Heart of Royal Mail Awards. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated!

Outstanding contribution: Andrew Dowling, Postie, Chichester DO

Andy was nominated for consistently going above and beyond his role as a postie, offering unwavering support, leadership, and care to his colleagues and unit—demonstrating the values of being positive, brilliant, and truly part of the team.

First class service: Karen Mcllear, Advanced Customer Advisor, Glasgow Contact Centre

Karen was nominated for her exceptional empathy, professionalism, and ability to build genuine connections with customers—consistently going above and beyond to ensure every interaction is warm, supportive, and leaves a lasting positive impression.

Game changer: Sarah Harding, HR Business Partner, Bridgwater DO

Sarah was nominated for her outstanding work in developing strong relationships with Job Centre Plus, successfully placing job seekers who have previously struggled to find employment into trial roles and converting 10 into permanent positions, positively impacting both Royal Mail's recruitment efforts and the local communities we serve.

Community Hero: Craig Jones, Driver, Cardiff MC

Craig was nominated for his heroic actions when he selflessly stopped at the scene of a serious accident, freed trapped occupants, searched for a missing person, and administered CPR in an attempt to save a life, demonstrating extraordinary bravery and compassion.

Safety Influencer: Ian Scotting, Driver, Doncaster VOC

Ian was nominated for his proactive efforts in reducing speeding incidents, developing a successful campaign that decreased speeding from 79 incidents per month to single digits and expanding his work to other regions with a new presentation, and potentially a roadshow to promote driver safety.

On Friday we’re hosting our very first Heart of Royal Mail Annual Awards event, where we bring together all our winners and runners up from the past year in our core categories, along with the colleagues who have been shortlisted in the eight annual award categories.
