Work Experience at Royal Mail – a Future Delivered

The Easter and Summer holidays are key times in the academic year where young people are looking for work experience. This could be to learn about a job role, company or new skill.

We have committed to offering 1,000 work experience placements in Royal Mail offices across the UK. The placements will help young people from all backgrounds and all corners of the country to build employability skills and help them get ready for the world of work.

For many people, the opportunity to access interesting and meaningful work experience placements isn’t there and with Royal Mail’s organisational scale and reach, we have the opportunity to change that.

How to get involved:

  • Commit to hosting a placement. Share and offer great work experience placement opportunities that showcase the way we work and the different roles within Royal Mail.
  • Register your placement. Managers can find details of how to register and more in the Managers’ Toolkit. (only accessible to connected users)
  • Spread the word. Share your best practice, insights and top tips for hosting work experience placements on our dedicated Workplace page here: Work Experience | Group | Workplace.

Placements are organised at a Royal Mail manager’s discretion. Any managers organising a placement should register their placement by following the QR code in the Managers’ Toolkit. (only accessible to connected users)
