Looking after the wellbeing of our night workers - health assessments 7 to 30 April 2025

At Royal Mail we have just under 7,500 colleagues who work at night. Although working at night doesn’t pose significant health risks to most people, it can affect the health of some workers, particularly those with existing health conditions.
To help ensure we look after our night working colleagues, Royal Mail carries out annual night worker health assessments, via our Occupational Health provider, Health Partners. The results allow us to make reasonable adjustments to keep our colleagues safe and well at work, whatever time of day they are working.
All our night workers are invited to complete a questionnaire between 7 and 30 April. If you would like to take part in the assessment, please speak to your line manager and ask them to submit your request to Health Partners, our independent Occupational Health provider.
As a reminder, the Wellbeing Employee Assistance Programme is available 24/7 for any issue, whether it’s in the moment support or something more complex. In addition, Help@hand is available for all colleagues and online GP appointments are also available 24/7 to support colleagues at a time that suits them. For more information, go to the Wellbeing Hub, available on the People App under Your Wellbeing.
