International Women’s Day

Ahead of the Hersday event for International Women’s Day, we’re shining the light on women across the business who are driving change and building an inclusive environment for all.
Today, we’re starting with our leading women on the Executive Board who share insights on being women in leadership and how they set themselves up for success.
For our Chief Executive Officer, Emma Gilthorpe, it is all about striking the right balance…
When met with challenges, our Chief People Officer, Paula Stannett, rises to them and finds a positive.
‘Being a woman in leadership is about taking challenges and turning them into opportunities to reach your full potential. At Royal Mail, we need to harness our inclusive culture and create a place where we all can thrive’ said Paula.
For our Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Sponsor of Women and Allies, Jenny Hall, she believes in campaigning for yourself and others to drive change.
‘Self-belief is imperative as a woman in leadership, it’s about embracing your worth and not being afraid to put yourself forward. Lean into your confidence to make sure your voice is heard - and remember to bring others up with you’ said Jenny.
You can hear more from Emma, Paula and Jenny at the Hersday event on Thursday 6 March – attendees also have the opportunity to converse and ask questions during the afternoon panel session. You can read the full agenda here.
