Your Life - support for anyone impacted by domestic abuse

  • 1 in 4 women, and 1 in 6 men will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime
  • When someone is experiencing domestic abuse, work may be the only place they feel safe

Generally, domestic abuse is not something that is easily talked about, and we’re committed to changing this.  To demonstrate our strong commitment to anyone impacted by domestic abuse, we have entered into a strategy partnership with EIDA – Employer’s initiative against Domestic Abuse.

“We are proud to work in partnership with EIDA as we continue to take a stand against domestic abuse. Building on the previously launched ‘online safe spaces’ portal, it’s important our colleagues and customers know where to go for discreet, confidential support and advice, and feel safe in doing so. By entering into this partnership, we hope to encourage other organisations to take a similar proactive stance so together we can make a difference.” – Jenny Hall, Director of Corporate Affairs, Royal Mail

If you, or someone you know, is impacted by domestic abuse you can contact the Employee Assistance programme for confidential and independent support.  The EAP is available through the Help@hand App (download the App and register using coded 164003), or by calling 0345 266 5060.

You can also access online support by downloading the Bright Sky UK App. Here you will find guidance if you are personally impacted as well as support for a friend of family member.

All the information you need to focus on your wellbeing is available on the Wellbeing Hub.
