Feel-good Friday

Good Dundeeds

We often hear how our posties go above and beyond for our customers and this story from Dundee is a heart warmer to begin 2025.

Jim Moir from Dundee recently took the time to write in expressing his deep gratitude for Posties, Tracy and Kevin who have worked in Jim’s area for years left their mark on the community.

Jim shared how Tracy and Kevin always took the time to speak to him when delivering his letters and parcels. Their kindness became especially meaningful after the loss of his wife of 62 years. Their genuine compassion and care gave Jim comfort during a difficult time.

‘Both Kevin and Tracy are genuinely very caring people, just lovely’ said Jim.

He recently visited Dundee Delivery Office to drop off Christmas gifts for Tracy and Kevin. That same afternoon, after finishing their rounds, the duo personally visited Jim to thank him. Tracy gave him a heartfelt hug, and Kevin shook his hand—a small gesture that meant the world to him.

Tracy and Kevin have been described as a marvellous partnership with Jim noting that delivering mail is about more than just parcels—it’s about building connections and being a part of the community.

When asked about Jim’s kind compliments, Tracy said: ‘Jim is a lovely man, and our customers are people we meet daily on our walks – meeting them and hearing about their day is my favourite part of the job.’

These words remind us of the invaluable role posties play, not just in delivering letters but in bringing kindness and connection when we deliver. Tracy and Kevin show what it means to go above and beyond, and their actions have left a lasting impression on everyone in their community.
