Comedy classic

We’ve teamed up with another British classic for our first Special Stamps collection of 2025, with the beloved sitcom, The Vicar of Dibley. The classic comedy, which ran for three series on the BBC from 1994 to 2007, starred Dawn French as the down-to-earth and witty vicar.

The set of 12 stamps is made up of eight main stamps which show iconic scenes from the series, while a further four stamps, presented in a miniature sheet, depicts a Dibley Parish Council meeting.

‘The superb writing and the warmth and idiosyncrasies of its characters made The Vicar of Dibley one of the most loved TV comedies of all time. We celebrate the series with new stamps revisiting some of the show’s classic moments’ said David Gold, Director of External Affairs and Policy.
