Christmas star - Kevin

During a recent visit to the Bridgend Hub, one colleague truly impressed Traffic Office Manager, Jade Barnes and that was Advanced Driver Coach, Kevin Neate.
Kevin spent several days working closely with Jade, meticulously going through the training matrix, reviewing compliance paperwork, and ensuring everything from legal reports to road traffic collision packs and post-RTC training assessments were up to standard. No task was too big or small for Kevin, who consistently goes above and beyond to provide a deeper understanding of driver legal compliance.
‘Kevin really stood out for his depth of knowledge and expertise’ said Jade. ‘He’s a trusted resource, and it’s no surprise that many drivers and traffic office managers approach him for support, whether it’s related to driving large goods vehicles or offering guidance as a mental health first aider.’
Hearing of his Christmas Star nomination, he was both surprised and humbled. ‘I’m just doing my job’ he said. ‘It’s all about helping to coach our drivers and ensuring we maintain a safe working environment.’
When Group Director of Health and Safety, Lizz Lloyd heard about Kevin’s contribution to safety, she said: ‘This is what we talk about when we say “Make Safety Personal”, someone fully embracing the opportunity to do the right thing really well and help others do so.’
‘Road Safety is everyone’s responsibility and one of the biggest risks we face every day both at leisure and when working. Every effort towards safer driving and safer roads is a win for us all. Well done Kevin, a well deserved recognition.’
Thank you, Kevin, for being such a star!
