Christmas cast – Yvonne
‘For me and many others a lifeline to making Christmas happen.’
The words of Yvonne Breen, one of the stars of our We Are Christmas 2024 campaign feature film, when discussing Royal Mail at Christmas.
Yvonne, an Account Director in Strategic Sales, was invited to take part in the film, which sees colleagues dancing along to Elton John’s chart-topping Step into Christmas, thanks to her role as Chair of our Women & Allies Employee Resource Group.
The We Are Christmas film is being used to help inspire our people to make it the best Peak yet for our customers. It’s also now on Royal Mail’s external social channels in this final push so that customers know its us they should send their late gifts with. Yvonne said of her role in the film: ‘I absolutely love our videos and thought it would be interesting to see how it works and to step out of the comfort zone to do something entirely different. My advice to everyone is say ‘yes’ more!
‘It was great to meet all the wonderful colleagues from across the organisation. We shared stories and experiences and just had fun and laughed a lot… at ourselves! Mainly the bits when we were dancing!’

Yvonne has been quick to share the film with her key contacts at some of our largest business customers including John Lewis – whose own Christmas film is always so eagerly anticipated – Etsy and Parcel 2 Go.
It’s safe to say they were impressed with our film as we go all out to impress them at their busiest time.
Yvonne says of our own role at Christmas: ‘It’s excitement seeing every day the cards delivered from the postie and opening to lovely messages from family and friends.
‘Also for me and many others a lifeline to making Christmas happen – I have already ordered 90% of my presents online from retailers such as John Lewis and a range of marketplaces. I love my personalised Christmas cards from Pretty Unique Prints on Etsy – who knew that depicting your whole family and the cat as Gonks could bring such joy!’
