#PicturePerfect winner

After revealing October’s #PicturePerfect theme of #WorldPostDay to celebrate our posties, as a Postie himself, Andrew Rodger brought a comical spin to his submission despite the long face.
Andrew’s photo inspiration came to a head when horsing around after work – friend and colleague, Rachel persuaded him to give her a hand at her horse yard resulting in this unique shot.
‘I must admit to messing around and not doing a lot of helping, hence the shot’ said Andrew.
The winning prize of £350 worth of shopping vouchers are being split between the pair as Andrew said: ‘Rachel has always been there for me since I started at Royal Mail and she has a knack for making me laugh. I just wanted to show we can take the time to make each other laugh.’
There are many sights to be seen as a postie due to the vast areas covered by our colleagues on the round: ‘I’ve been out in all weathers, seeing the changing seasons’ said Andrew.
‘As posties we experience the challenging UK weather and it only takes a second to take a picture, it doesn’t have to be some great landscape or sunset - street photography for those in cities are fab. I like how we all see things from a different perspective and have our own interpretation of our surroundings.’
