‘We have to deliver people’s promises.’

The words of Douglas Faulconbridge, one of the stars of our We are Christmas 2024 campaign feature film, when discussing Royal Mail and Parcelforce at Christmas.

Parcelforce Hub Operative, Douglas, was invited to take part in the film, which sees colleagues dancing along to Elton John’s chart-topping Step into Christmas, thanks to his recent recognition in the Heart of Royal Mail Awards.

The We are Christmas film is being used to help inspire our people to make it the best Peak yet for our customers.

Douglas said: ‘I was honoured to receive the Heart of Royal Mail Award a few weeks ago from Rob Fowler and really enjoyed the extra addition to be a part of this film.

‘I’m representing Parcelforce. I’m delivering people’s promises at Christmas, we work really hard to attain that and make sure that everybody gets their parcels on time for Christmas. I’m proud to work for Parcelforce, as part of Royal Mail, and feel we’re underrepresented.’

Douglas, who works at the Coventry Hub, has high hopes of a successful Peak and also a bright future for the business.

‘We have to deliver people’s promises,’ he said. ‘That’s the key thing. People post their item with Royal Mail and Parcelforce and we need to fulfil their promise and make sure it lands on the doorstep at the appropriate time.

‘I wish for peace for everybody and I’d like to think going forward we can be a settled company and work together more and build a bigger brand for the future.’
