Rock and rolling

Our latest set of Special Stamps celebrates the 60-year anniversary of one the UK’s most innovative and influential bands of the rock and roll era – The Who!
This collection of stamps feature images of the band’s most popular and iconic album covers, as well as group shots and moments from some of their electrifying live performances.
The Who become the seventh music group to feature in a dedicated Royal Mail stamp issue – following on from: The Beatles, 2007; Pink Floyd, 2016; Queen, 2020; The Rolling Stones, 2022; Iron Maiden, 2023; and The Spice Girls, 2024.
‘With their truly original sound and effortless ability to mix musical styles, The Who are rock royalty. These stamps celebrate one of the UK’s much loved and revered musical bands who have achieved global popularity for six decades’ said David Gold, Director of External Affairs and Policy.
The stamps, and a range of collectible products, are available to pre-order from today, Thursday 3 October online and by telephone on 03457 641 641.
A Presentation Pack including all 12 stamps is priced at £22.80. The stamps go on general sale on Thursday 17 October.
