Latest Special Stamps

We’ve teamed up with another British TV classic for the latest set of Special Stamps.
Today we’ve revealed images of the eight stamps being issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic British sitcom, Porridge.
Written by one of the most successful writing teams in comedy history, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, Porridge was first broadcast by the BBC in 1974 and named for the breakfast traditionally served in British prisons.
This Special Stamp collection includes memorable quotes and scenes featuring some of the most popular characters in the sitcom.
’Porridge continues to resonate with audiences even after five decades thanks to the quality of the writing and the characters the cast brought to the screen. These stamps celebrate British television creativity that is timeless and enduring’, said Director of External Affairs and Policy, David Gold.
The stamps, and a range of collectible products, are available to pre-order from today, Thursday 29 August online and by telephone on 03457 641 641.
A Presentation Pack including all eight stamps is priced at £14.30. The stamps go on general sale on Tuesday 3 September.
