Intersoft five take on Kilimanjaro

Intersoft are an often-overlooked area of the business, acquired around nine years ago, the company build, develop and maintain the technical platform that delivers the digital experience for many of our commercial products, and our interface to many of our largest customers; Amazon, HMRC, DWP, to name a few.
Intersoft allows customers to access our Proshipping products to print priority labels, tracking and access other services like Parcel Collect and Local Collect.
As a completely separate entity we don’t hear much about them, but on this Feel-good Friday, we’re celebrating five of their employees who are working to raise an incredible £16,500 for two charities close to their hearts.
James Thomas, Intersoft Managing Director is raising money for Movember, the charity that funds men’s health projects around the world, after his young nephew took his own life.
Whilst the other four members of the team; Agi Singham, finance director, Sylvia Douglas, Technical Development Manager, Steve Sneath, Sales Director and Shekhar Murahari, Scrum Master are raising money for Cancer Research, in memory of people close to them.
In February 2025, the team will be taking on an epic challenge and climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, standing at 5893km.
As Steve Sneath explained ‘Over the next 12 months I am taking myself out of my comfort zone in a bid to raise some much-needed money for a fantastic cause close to my heart for many reasons. I am a cancer survivor myself, having been given my all clear in 2001, lots of my friends and families members have too been given more time on this planet due to the great work of Cancer Research and the brilliant people behind it.’
For this team, the training is underway, and thanks to our wet, cold rainy winter, the team have been testing their endurance, their ability to cope weather extremes, and testing out their kit. They’ve camped and hiked in temperatures below freezing as they’ve trained in the Lake District and Snowdonia.
If you’d like to donate to these very worthy causes and support the team, you can do so here.
