A Future Delivered
We have a fantastic opportunity during July and August to connect with students from across the UK who might be seeking work experience during the summer holidays.
With our size and breadth, Royal Mail is uniquely positioned to give more people, from all backgrounds, the opportunity to access meaningful work experience, helping them to better understand future career opportunities and build new skills in the process.
As part of our ongoing focus on connecting with our future talent earlier, we’ve set an aspiration to host 1000 weeks of work experience across the business this year.
If you’d like to be part of making this happen, there are two key ways that you can get involved:
Host a Work Experience Placement
- Commit to hosting a work experience in your team or office: If you’re in an operational role and know somebody that might be interested, speak with your manager about how you can make this happen
- We have a dedicated Work Experience guide on PSP to bring all the information together on how to host a great placement, including all the forms we need to complete to remain safe and compliant: WORK EXPERIENCE (royalmailgroup.com)
- If you are able to host a placement, please do make sure that this is registered via the link in the Work Experience Toolkit so that we can ensure this is counted towards our aspiration, and importantly, this will enable us to keep in touch with work experience colleagues in the future about our new opportunities
Spread the Word about our Summer Skills Series
Do you know somebody looking to grow their skills over the summer holidays? If so, our newly introduced Summer Skills Series might be the perfect opportunity to do this!
We have just launched the Summer Skills Series in partnership with the Royal Mail Academy. We want to help our future talent to build skills for the future, so we’re running 6 virtual webinars this summer covering skills such as: interview skills, networking, time management and more.
These are being advertised both internally and externally so if you’d like to know more, please do visit our dedicated Work Experience workplace group: Work Experience | Group | Workplace
