Fire Safety Week

During July and August, we focus on the importance of Fire Safety – the most important part being the prevention of fires from happening.  

This week all colleagues will be regularly reminded of fire plans, personal evacuation plans and also be required to complete Fire Safety training.

We are asking all our managers to focus on the fire risk in their units.

There is a SHE calendar activity to complete Fire Safety Training by the end of August for all colleagues (including P&FS staff such as cleaners and onsite engineers).  As part of training ensure that fire plans and personal evacuation plans are reviewed, communicated and in date.  

Good housekeeping is vitally important to prevent fires, please ensure you have briefed the Fire Safety WTLL, watched this Fire Safety film, and hold a full fire evacuation to test your procedures are working.
