Let’s Talk Men’s Health

As we approach the end of Men’s Health Week, let’s recap what we’ve learnt so far and use this to keep the conversation going…
We started the week with Dan Clarke, Senior Health and Wellbeing Manager launching our new men’s health campaign Let’s Talk Men’s Health where we’ll provide more support to men’s health, given there are 104,000 men at Royal Mail with an average age of 49 – many at risk of having or developing a health condition.
As one in five men dies before the age of 65, Stefan Kulik, Royal Mail Health Managing Director explained why a strong focus on men’s health is important for him and how everyone should get involved – this week and beyond.
And Emily from British Heart Foundation shared why men’s health is such an important topic and how you can access heart health support, given 75% of premature deaths from heart disease are men.
An event was held in Medway Mail Centre, hosted by Tim Hyde which raised the profile of organisations related to men’s health – watch this film for an insight into the day.
During a Men’s Health Connect & Learn session on Wednesday, Nuffield Health provided more men’s health insights and we shared our new men’s health campaign – you can watch it here.
