Men's Health Week

Upcoming Men's Health Week

Men’s Health Week is coming up mid-June, an opportunity to kickstart conversations on the realities of health issues which predominantly affect men.

Did you know? There’s one premature male death every five minutes

There are 104,000 men at Royal Mail and our demographic means a high number of colleagues will be at risk of having or developing a serious health condition - it’s therefore crucial we do more to support men’s health.

That’s why, following on from Mental Health Awareness Week, for Men’s Health Week (10-16 June) we launch Let’s Talk Men’s Health, a brand-new men’s health campaign.

We know men can find talking about health uncomfortable, so we’ll help by:

  • Dialling up conversations on the health topics significantly impacting men
  • Supporting people to know their personal health risk using Help@hand and other services; and
  • The importance of accessing support early

Get involved

Starting with Men’s Health Week, managers should talk to teams about men’s health, supported by our Wellbeing Ambassadors and using local external charities where possible. Next week every workplace will receive a Men’s Health Pack with information and resources and there’s also a new men’s health area to the Wellbeing Hub (accessible via People App).
