Wellbeing while fasting

Look after your wellbeing during Ramadan

If you are fasting, it’s important to look after your wellbeing during this time.

You can do so by following these tips:

  • When breaking fast (Iftar), keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water and eat food such as carbohydrates, fruit, wholegrain, nuts and oats as they release energy slowly – keeping you full for longer
  • Avoid drinking too much caffeine, as this can produce a short-lived surge of energy, ultimately leaving you feeling tired once the buzz wears off
  • Be mindful of the food that you eat during Iftar as spicy, sugary, or difficult-to-digest foods may make it harder to have a good sleep

Ramadan Mubarak to our Muslim colleagues.
