Sunday deliveries

We often see special occasions roll around on a Sunday, including a moment for mums coming up this weekend. Our customers in both business and community are expecting those all important deliveries on time to make for a joyous day.
There is expected to be 90 per cent more items entering the system compared to a normal Sunday - very similar to our Peak period.
To support you in successfully processing and delivering this important mail, a diversion plan has been put in place at Midlands Super Hub into National Distribution Centre, which will support the operation on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Last year, in Mother’s Day week over 11 million Tracked Parcels was processed through our system as we received an increase of flowers, gifts and cards.
We’re expecting a very busy Sunday for Mother’s Day with c400k Tracked 24 items to deliver on the day.
Be prepared for the increased size of all types of parcels, especially flowers as we deliver a significant number of orders from Prestige Gifting, Flowerline, Bunches and Bloom & Wild to name a few. Remember whilst Moonpig will be sending parcels they will also be sending a number of letter sized T24 items so don’t let these fall into the wrong stream.
Keeping focused on Quality of Service is just as important at this key time. Remember to continue with doorstep procedures and make sure they are still fully compliant, in particularly safe place, photo on delivery and age verification where required – we want to make sure those mums’ get their gifts in perfect condition.
This will be a busy time so look out for those around you and offer support to our new starters who may be experiencing their first surge in mail.
