With S Club, this Feel-good Friday

To celebrate @British Heart Foundation’s #HeartMonth pop group S Club visited Clapton Girls’ Academy in Hackney to take part in a lifesaving Classroom RevivR sessions with pupils. Jenni Hammond, who manages our partnership with British Heart Foundation (BHF) joined them to find out more.

Classroom RevivR is an innovative and free CPR teaching tool for pupils across the country, and it’s been funded through your incredible fundraising efforts since the beginning of the partnership last year.

Since rolling out Classroom RevivR in October, pupils at Clapton Girls’ Academy have already seen the benefits of the RevivR training first-hand. A group of students witnessed a passerby collapse on their way to school and had the confidence to step in during an emergency situation to assess and help.

Jenni said “It was a pleasure to join the pupils at Clapton Girls’ Academy and hear about the impact that Classroom RevivR CPR training has had. It’s fantastic to see programmes like Classroom RevivR, that are only possible because of the amazing fundraising efforts of our colleagues. Thank you to everyone who has been raising money for BHF. This will equip the lifesavers of tomorrow with vital training to give everyone the very best chance of survival.”

This Heart Month, join S Club by learning CPR in just 15 minutes with BHF’s RevivR app here. S Club tell us their hit song “Don’t Stop Movin’” has the perfect beat to learn CPR to!
