LGBT+ History Month

Today, Thursday 1 February marks the beginning of LGBT+ History Month – an opportunity to recognise the history of the LGBT+ community and monumental events that have taken place.
At Royal Mail, we encourage all colleagues to come to work as their authentic selves. Our colleagues reflect and represent every community across the UK, which means we have long been embedded within the LGBT+ communities.
Within Royal Mail there is access to safe spaces for open conversation and educational resources for relevant topics. Visit the LGBTQ+ & Friends Employee Resource Group page to continue this conversation and find out more about relevant resources’ such as Equally Yours workshops.
Deputy Chair of LGBTQ+ & Friends ERG, Chris Barber said: ‘The LGBTQ+ & Friends ERG is here to help colleagues navigate the many challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community, whether that is how you can support your child who has recently come to terms with the fact they are LGBTQ+ or is suffering with Gender Dysphoria, or being there for a colleague who has decided to ‘come out’ at work.’
