Nick Park's Christmas

Why We are Christmas, by Epping postie

Initially, with the heavy upheaval of parcels zooming through the conveyer belt, it seems a treacherous task coping. Although, we are Royal Mail and will inevitably succeed, just like our predecessors have done.

With the banter in full swing and the festive tunes echoing in the background within every Royal Mail establishment, we are surely stampeding to victory before Christmas Day. The volume of items will begin to diminish as we draw nearer to 25 December. Teamwork is the saviour and a notable factor.

Children’s faces shall light up when unwrapping their gifts that we endeavour to get to their doorstep prior to the big day.

We must spare a thought for those unfortunate individuals who are on their own this Christmas, no matter what their age. We, as posties, are often the only human contact that they may stumble upon during the build-up. For them, this is a present alone so keep your smiling face in motion.

Royal Mail are awake 24 hours a day and seven days per week, especially more so during the final month in the year. We are grafting when it is pitch black during the early hours of the morning.  Furthermore, we are witnessable in the dark delivering in the evening.

Us posties are targeting on getting letters and parcels to our customers in all weather conditions.

We dig deeper to provide our customers with a merry and rewarding Christmas. If you do not agree with me then, ‘bah humbug.’
