Best peak practice in PFW

Improvements in productivity and customer performance have put the Milton Keynes Parcelforce Depot in the spotlight as they are recognised for making positive steps forward this peak period.
‘We’ve seen a really positive uptake with the Driver Incentive Scheme in the depot’, says their Operations Manager, Adrian Mantle. ‘It’s minimised our requirement for agency recruitment and helped to maintain excellent attendance levels with our sick absence below 4.8% throughout peak and Depot Controllable Service over 99%.’
This performance has enabled the team at Milton Keynes to support other sites where they have provided significant courier resource to their neighbouring Reading depot.
‘It’s been an absolute team effort’, says Adrian, ‘Our Night team has maintained near perfect attendance and gone over and above flexing start times, eradicating any agency requirement.’
‘The Late shift have flexed their hours seeing an increase in their collected volume circa 30%. Admin teams have also made a significant contribution including dealing with substantial increases in International Export items.’
Adrian also has praise for his management team, he says, ‘having the full support and dedication from his managers has been instrumental in the success so far this peak. All of our teams are working together to ensure a successful Christmas for our people and our customers.’
