Talk Money Week

Your money, your wellbeing

Today is the start of Talk Money Week and every day we’ll be spotlighting different money topics helping you to manage your money, short and long term budgeting, suggestions on how you can make your money go further, saving for now and the future as well as helping you to manage problem debt.

Put this poster up on to your Wellbeing Noticeboard to promote the support available.

It can be really difficult to talk about money but research shows that people who talk about money:

  • make better and less risky financial decisions
  • have stronger personal relationships
  • help their children form good lifetime money habits
  • feel less stressed or anxious and more in control.

Talking more about money will improve how you feel, and when you need it, confidential and practical support is available for you and your family through Your Money.

Simple things you can do to help to get you started this week:

  1. Talk to someone independent and in confidence through the wellbeing Employee Assistance Programme.  You can phone them on 0345 266 5060 or access online resources through Help@hand.
  2. If you’re worried about money, join the financial worries wellbeing workshop where you’ll be signposted to the available support.
  3. And to answer those money questions, join one of the drop in Q&A sessions run by Salary Finance, our independent financial wellbeing partner. Tuesday 7th (10am), Wednesday 8th (12pm) or Thursday 9th (2pm) or you can access their financial education site.   Watch this short video to find out more.
