October’s #PicturePerfect theme of #scenicviews received more than 100 eye-catching photographs but one shot took the win with 73 likes and over 80 votes in the final poll.

Postie from North West Super Hub, Peter Mainey’s landscape photo of Llyn Padarn, Llanberis, Eyri has bagged him £350 worth of shopping vouchers – just in time for Christmas. Well deserved as Peter had a 3am alarm and 200-mile round trip to capture this shot!

‘My photograph was taken at sunrise at Llyn Padarn in Llanberis, Eryri/Snowdonia,’ said Peter.

‘I am an active landscape photographer as I find it a great way to relax and unwind. It’s such a wonderful, peaceful place and a rarity to find the place free of other photographers as it’s a well photographed tree.’

‘I’m over the moon to be lucky enough to win the landscape #PicturePerfect competition,’ he adds. So many of my colleagues from up and down the country take some incredible, inspiring shots ranging from mobile phone shots to ones taken with high-end cameras.

‘I’m a great believer of the best camera is the one that you have with you at the time, so I would encourage anyone to have a go at entering the #PicturePerfect competition.’
