Black Friday hotspots

Royal Mail today reveals the top 10 areas where shoppers made the most online purchases over the Black Friday weekend this year.

It was a busy time for colleagues serving bargain hunters in the Shetland Islands, which topped the list of the UK’s biggest online shoppers for the weekend.

St Albans topped the England list, Llandrindod Wells were first in Wales and North West Londoners head up London. Four of the top 10 hotspots are located in Scotland.

The top 10 online shopping hotspots are based on analysis of parcels accepted into the Royal Mail network between 23 and 27 November from online retailers.
