All hands on deck

Non-ops helpers feeling the buzz in the operation

We’ve pulled out all the stops to increase our resources to deliver Christmas to our customers - alongside our additional 16,000 seasonal workers, our non-operational colleagues have swapped desks for doorstops.

Talent Acquisition Specialist, Amy Vickers, joined the team at Bearsden Delivery Office in East Dunbartonshire, earlier this week.

‘My local DO is so welcoming. This is my second time supporting the team and they’re always so grateful for the extra pair of hands,’ said Amy.

Having previously recruited for frontline, this time gave Amy a first-hand experience of what the roles entail and allowed her to soak up the environment of our units.

‘I love being out in the community; the warm welcome smiles but also being a part of the team at Bearsden,’ she said. ‘The radio was playing Christmas music, Santa hats made an appearance and there was a really lovely buzz as everyone got ready to head out.’

Amongst other non-ops colleagues, Amy will be heading back out into the operation from 21 December to process our mail.

Amy wanted to share a kind message to the team at Bearsdon:

‘A huge thank you to everyone at Bearsden DO for welcoming me and others with open arms, and my frontline colleagues in general.’
