York repatriations

Preparing for Peak

As we head towards our busiest time of year, we’re calling for all yorks to repatriated efficiently and effectively so each unit can be prepared for the volume of mail we expect to receive.

Without yorks, the mail can’t go anywhere, so keeping them moving is critical if we want to deliver a successful Christmas.

Please follow the below steps to follow to ensure we deliver a fantastic Christmas in 2023

  • COMs - Lead Distribution managers (LDMs) will reach out in the coming weeks to provide the detail of your delivery office repatriation schedule, so please look out for communication from them

  • Every delivery unit should identify a ‘container champion’ for their unit as soon as possible, and COMs will be asked to provide the champion’s name and contact info over the coming weeks

  • COMs – please ensure that there is resource aligned to load any yorks and please ensure that you clear your office daily

  • Be sure to report any repatriation failures to your LDM on a daily basis

  • Please display and refer to the posters sent to your unit

  • Ensure that you present any kit such as yorks correctly for collection by collapsing where appropriate and ensuring that equipment is in the right place at the right time for collection

  • Only report equipment that is available

  • Collection hubs: COMs – please check and confirm with the Collections COM (CCOM) how many yorks they require so that these items are not reported

  • Make time to engage and collaborate with collection and delivery teams to arrange additional clearances if required.
