World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day, 10 October. This is day for us to continue to raise awareness of mental health, take time to talk to each other and access the support that’s available – for ourselves and our family.
Show your support for World Mental Health Day
There are many ways for you to show your support. You can simply wear a green ribbon or wearing something green, or why not record a short video with your thoughts, experiences and pictures and share these on workplace. Sharing how you support your mental health is so beneficial to others – so whether it’s taking time out, getting involved in activities or accessing the wellbeing support available to you and your family, take time this week to share your experiences with your colleagues.
Wellbeing support for you and your family
We know lots of things can lead to feelings of stress and anxiety, and you’re not alone. Remember support is available and it’s completely independent and confidential. Everyone has access to Help@hand where you can access online GP, physiotherapy, and second medical opinion service. You can also access unlimited mental health consultations for you and your partner and a personalised 360 Wellbeing score which unlocks 1:1 lifestyle coaching, nutrition, and personal training support.
And our wellbeing Employee Assistance Programme is there to support you, 24/7, 365 days a year. It’s free, completely confidential, and independent to Royal Mail. Whether you want to speak to someone in the moment or talk through something more complex, they’re there for you.
Talk to those around you
Take time out to talk to those around you about how you’re feeling. If you’re worried about someone but unsure where to start, our Moments that matter – supporting a colleague when you’re worried about them offers you tips, guidance and signposting support to help you and them. A great way to capture your thoughts is to complete a personalised wellness action plan - a personalised, practical tool which helps you identify what keeps you well at work, and actions you can take to help address any issues you’re facing. And remember we have an incredible Wellbeing Ambassador network – over 1100 colleagues who are there to help you no matter what you’re facing. Join the network today!
