World Menopause Awareness

World Menopause Day is held every year on the 18 October and aims to raise awareness of menopause symptoms and encourage everyone to talk openly about their experiences.
Menopause can have a significant impact on the person experiencing symptoms and their loved ones. It is important to encourage everyone to talk openly about their wellbeing and the impact they are having.
How can menopause affect women?
· Three quarters of women seek advice from their GPs about menopausal symptoms
· Some symptoms can be severe and have a significant impact on everyday life
· The average age is 45-55 but can start earlier, may end later and some women may have a very early menopause
Support is available to all colleagues, whether you are experiencing menopause symptoms, supporting someone who is or wanting to learn more.
