More mail, more miles

We’re preparing for our busiest but most successful Peak period yet as we head towards Black Friday, Cyber Monday and of course, Christmas. We’re expecting to see around double the normal number of parcels, and stamped letters processed.

To get the sorted mail and parcels on the road and to our customers when they expect it, we’ve increased our fleet to an additional 6,800 vehicles across Royal Mail and Parcelforce. We’re welcoming an additional 1,000 temporary road haulage colleagues to get our customers mail from point A to point B all in good time.

As you know, our recruitment have also recently launched the ‘Christmas 2023 Helping Hands’ campaign which will support with more manpower in deliveries. We’re calling on family and friends who may be interested to register, please help us spread the word.
