Brighter days ahead

August Workplace Picture Perfect winner reveals all

During August, in collaboration with our new wellbeing programme, Your Wellbeing, we asked you to submit your photos which capture what you do for your wellbeing/

We received some picturesque images of long strolls and snaps of the essence of family time but there was one image which portrayed a heartwarming, wellbeing moment.

‘I was in the Lake District, this time last year with my wife and her family’ said Stuart Morris.

‘I had just finished representing the Andy’s Man Club charity at Stonedead Festival in Newark and drove straight there, and on the first evening my wife captured this moment as I was taking in the views with my nephew’.

Stuart is a faciliatory men’s health club, Andy’s Man Club – you may have previously heard from Stu about the importance of this safe space. While he is now a facilitator, he is first and foremost, still a participant of the club.

When asked about how he looks after his wellbeing, Stu shared: ‘The main thing I have learned to look after my own wellbeing is to talk. Talk to your friends, colleagues, families, managers, or indeed professionals, but make sure you don’t bottle things up’.

As a regular Workplace user, Stuart encourages others to make the most of our platform and find relevant areas to get involved in:

‘I’m a big fan of Workplace as a platform to promote news, views and advice, especially as part of the Wellbeing Ambassador project.

I’d advise anyone to get involved with #PicturePerfect.  We all have so many great memories captured in Photo’s why not share them and brighten people’s days.’

Congratulations to Stuart on winning £350 worth of shopping vouchers, who is generously using them to treat his wife and nephew.

If you’d like to get involved in #PicturePerfect, our latest community centred theme is open in this month’s competition.
