My story
It was when colleagues became infected with Covid-19, including the tragic passing of a workmate’s daughter, when life in the pandemic really hit home for fleet supervisor, Trevor Wilson.
Work was turned upside down for Trevor and his team, due to the strict government guidelines that were put in place to keep people safe.
‘With what was going on, and the mail ramping up, there was more pressure for us to keep the vehicles on the road,’ he said. ‘They just needed more and more vehicles.’
Like other colleagues across the business, Trevor recognised it was his duty to keep the wheels on the road.
‘Getting told, “thank you for getting that back on the road for us” – yeah, that feels good because we know that we’ve done something, and it’s appreciated.’
